Cookies Policy
1. What are cookies and local storage?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites. “Local storage” is a similar technology that lets a website save information in your browser. Both can be used to remember information between visits or pages.
2. How OrthoGuide uses them
OrthoGuide does not use advertising, marketing, or cross-site tracking cookies. We use:
- Essential local storage — to remember your progress through modules and your quiz results, so you can continue where you left off. These items are stored on your device (under keys beginning
orthoguide_progress_) and are not sent to us.
3. Third-party cookies
Some content embedded from third parties may set their own cookies when you interact with it:
- YouTube (Google) — when you play an embedded video, Google may set cookies. See Google’s cookie information.
- Microsoft Forms — if you open the feedback form, Microsoft may set cookies. See Microsoft’s Privacy Statement.
These cookies are controlled by the respective third parties, not by OrthoGuide.
4. Managing cookies and clearing data
You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can clear OrthoGuide’s local storage at any time:
- Most browsers let you clear site data via Settings → Privacy, or by clearing browsing data for this site.
- Clearing local storage will reset your saved module progress.
Please note that blocking all cookies and storage may affect some functionality — for example, remembering your progress, or playing embedded videos.
5. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above will change to reflect any revisions.
